A man with congenital complete heart block has been followed up for 25 years to age 48. His progress, present clinical condition and response to exercise, are described. The study emphasizes the excellent prognosis in congenital complete heart blood, provided there is no associated congenital structural heart disease, the QRS complexes are supraventricular in configuration, and the condition is not familial.
